Winter Vacation in the Park camp offers caring, attentive
staff to entertain children during the winter school break. Kids will
enjoy activities including games, arts and crafts, the Sheriff's
equestrian unit, marine touch tank, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation
and more.
Two half-day sessions are available each day; 7:30 a.m.
to noon and 1-5:30 p.m. A supervised lunch hour is provided for children
attending both daily sessions offered Dec. 22, 23, 26, 29, 30, 31, and
Jan. 2. The cost is $8 per session. Parents are responsible for
supplying lunch, snacks and beverages.
Mad Science Camp focuses on fun and excitement while
unlocking scientific mysteries in a safe, hands-on setting. There are
plenty of cool demonstrations and exciting activities involving amazing
chemical reactions, special effects and fantastic forces. Make slime,
engineer structures, create controlled explosions and get take-home
projects.
Mad Science Camp takes place from 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 29-31
at Colonial Oaks Park, 5300 Colonial Oaks Blvd. The cost is $105 and
includes all activities and take-home activities. If early morning
drop-offs are needed, Mad Science pre-camp allows children to attend the
Winter Vacation camp from 7:30 to 9 a.m. all three days for just $8. A
minimum of 10 campers is required for this program to take place. Visit
